Birth

Is branching out..... into birth photography.
If you would like someone to help capture the most amazing journey in anyone life KirstinLee Photography can be right there.

I would be looking at Photographing you towards the end of your journey, at the birth and then one week post. I believe that this special journey that a women is given so it should also have the right to embrace it as well as to have the right for it to be a lasting memory.

Photographing you in your last weeks it a fabulous chance to capture your belly as it's 'fullest' a last hoora shall we say to an amazing 35-40weeks of creation. I also understand that most women feel rather un-attractive at this point, and i totally understand this as a mother of one. I can photograph you anywhere between 35-40weeks to ensure that you feel confident, glamours, and glowingly attractive.
Then when I'm photographing your birth I would be extremely tactful, in that i would never intrude on the 'business end' of things but merely stand in the background and photograph the all the minor details (time of delivery, weight, skin to skin bonding ect) along with those last few moments of you as a couple and helping create a lasting memory of a brand new family.
(You must also understand that your poor hubby/partner can't always be as great at multi tasking as you, and can sometimes miss the parts you really wished he had got and besides his real sole purpose is to be there for you that's where a photographer can come in handy and relive the pressure off an already pressure cooked dad-to-be)

Lastly there is nothing better then capturing your fresh new squishy bundle of love in some amazing poses to remember just how little they used to be. (because trust me before you know it you will be raising the door ways so they don't have to duck when they walk through them!) To also capture the finer details as the whisper of fine hair, long nails, perfect cherub lips, long eyelashes and a button cord.
If you think you would be interested please feel free to email me and we can chat.

The 'whole' V Family

A while back i had the amazing pleasure of Photographing some of the V family, so imagine my delight when i was asked to come a photograph the whole V family!
C & P are the responsible owners of this amazing Family. With two sons and two daughters under C belt, i think she is super women to have had 4 and to be still be standing (I've got one and someday's it feels like i have 4)!
Everyone in this family where so welcoming from the eldest son right down to the littlest of them all C whom i got a few shy smiles out of.
Apart from the drizzle the day went without any hitches, the munchkins did really well considering most needed sleeps, the two older girls where just divine. I'm not too sure what it is with this family but as i was editing i couldn't believe how good looking they all where, and not one had taken a bad photo.
C & P you have the most amazing loving family I'm honoured that you choose me to help you sit back and capture the true beauty you have created, both of you should also pat yourself on the back for doing such a great job.
So without further a-do here is your sneak peek:

Taking the back seat

I know H & M through a very close friend. Understanding that i wasn't invited to the Wedding M still asked if i would like to come to the church and witness them both become one.

They where married at a local Sydney Greek Church and even though M was not Greek (Kiwi in fact) H was, so they had decided that they would marry in H's faith.
I have to admit, this is my first Greek wedding i have ever been to and from taking the back seat i noticed that they where married under a constant sound of prayer. I was left gob smacked at just how interment and close their Wedding was and i was left walking away feeling rather enlightened but something was missing........ they never exchanged rings and nor did they kiss each other into wedded bliss, this i found hard to figure out. I guess being to so many 'other' Wedding's i guessed this would be just like them all but it wasn't and for that i liked it.
All the photo's where taken from the back seat, a place given the opportunity i could get quite comfy in :)
A HUGE congratulations to H & M. M you looked amazing, just simply stunning and H i have to admit you scrubbed up alright in a suit LOL I Hope you had a wonderful day and are now enjoying wedded bliss.

D & L's Wedding to remember

Arriving home from a LONG drive to attend D & L's Wedding in Lakes Entrance Victoria (or better known as 9 mile beach) i started to empty our bags and clean up, only to a little reminder from this wedding...... Sand, and I'm not talking a few grains I'm talking shoe loads! LOL
Ah, what an amazing Wedding.
The day started off like many other Weddings, but this one had a few unique pieces to it that made D & L's Wedding their own.
Arriving with the bride at the dock we boarded a river cruise boat that took us up and down the rivers of the Gippsland lakes and beyond.
With parent's past on both D & L's side they decided to light a candle to honor them, this was so moving and personal that i couldn't help but get chocked up and shed a little tear behind my lens.
We then cruised along the Gippsland rivers till we got to Barriers Landing where we all got off walked over A HUGE sand dune (yes you read right over sand dunes) to watch two of the most perfectly matched couple say 'I do'
Once done with the formalities we took some snaps and boarded the river boat to party like it was 1999! LOL
D has been a LONG standing friend of my partner G and through G i was lucky enough to meet D. He is the kind of person who is honest and upfront, i remember him the most for his HUGE heart. He would always come over when G was deployed and just check on me to see if i was ok and to just generally have a chat.
So of course when he and L asked me to photograph their Wedding of course i jumped at the opportunity and i was pretty darn honoured.
Here are just a wee sample of some of the hundred's of photo's i took of their special day.
D & L (and little L) Congratulations of the most amazing Wedding and thank you for not only inviting us but also for offering me the opportunity to photograph you Wedding.
xx
