It's nice to take a few hours out, sit back and photograph your own child. It is so easy to get caught up on helping capture the moments for everyone else that when the chance comes to photograph him, to be honest i am normally 'over it'.
I shouldn't be like that i know because he is just growing up so fast. His not that little baby now and has boy's hands along with strong 'running' legs that are adorned with all the cuts, scratches and bruises that can tell you exactly what his been up too. Yet despite this, he still manages to amaze me each and every day and i love nothing more then when he tells me I'm his 'best friend'. I know this wont last forever but for now i cherish it.
It's so different photographing L as he is so so so over having the camera in his face and as you can imagine i have ALOT of photos at the moment of the back of his head or that dreaded 'fake' smile.
So today i just sat and watched him play and took photo's when he wanted them taken and i am glad that i took this approach as i got some really awesome pictures of him.
